Small Gatherings, Big Style
Intimate entertaining the Foundation Goods way
Holiday entertaining might look a little different this year, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be festive, fun and just as stunning as ever. Round up some elevated serving essentials for moments when you need something delicious (and beautiful) to feed your nearest and dearest.
One of our favorite late afternoon or evening traditions is a big platter of fruits, cheese, nuts and crackers on the coffee table in front of a holiday movie, the fireplace or both. Sink into the sofa and call it dinner.
A sweet moment for yourself or shared with a loved one, an afternoon cocoa, cider, tea or coffee hits the spot with the addition of a simple baked treat. We love freezing a batch of baked goods from a favorite local bakery and thawing them one or two at a time as the need arises.
Keep bowls of olives, nuts, crackers, granola and other quick nibbles on hand for impromptu snacks that look just as good as they taste.
Enjoy our favorite granola recipe straight from our in-house stylist, Cammy.
Hazel’s House Granola
4 cups old fashioned rolled oats
2 cups unsweetened shredded coconut
2 cups slivered or sliced almonds
1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
1/2 cup raw honey
1 1/2 cups small diced dried apricots
1 cup dried cherries 1 cup golden raisins
1 cup roasted, unsalted cashews
Preheat oven to 350. Toss the oats, coconut, and almonds together in a large bowl. Whisk together the oil and the honey and pour it over the oat mixture until well coated. Pour onto a large baking sheet. Bake until golden brown, stirring occasionally, for about 10-20 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool, breaking it up with a spoon occasionally. Stir in fruit and cashews. Store in an airtight container and enjoy!
